Hi .. I'm Syaza and welcome to my blog for Digital Life Environment ! Currently studying Masters in Information Management.
This particular blog will be about exploring web 2.0 technologies. I consider myself as a relatively heavy user of web 2.0 especially social media sites but there's still a lot to explore.
Tried blogging about my photography and travels a few years ago but it didn't last. Found it hard to post blog entries consistently. Moved to a photo sharing website Flickr instead.
As the class progresses, I'd love to learn more about web 2.0 and some of my learning goals are :
1. To have more confidence in writing. This goal is not directly related to the technology, but I think it would be important in communicating with the readers .
2. Learn basic HTML
3. Available tools that can help attract a wider audience
4. Incorporating maps and social media into blogs
5. Know more about RSS
6. Get acquainted with more IM related blogs/websites
7. How to manage my online browsing
8. Editing wikis
Hi Syaza! From reading our group's blogs, it sounds as though we all have similar goals when it comes to Web 2.0! There are a lot of valuable tools available out there - it will be great to learn how to access and use them.
ReplyDeleteSyaza - hi. Firstly, thank you for your help in the tutorial last week. I appreciated you sharing your expertise with me! In reflecting on your own blogging experience with your photography I can see that to be a serious blogger would take a lot of time and thought to keep the blog going over a period of time. Thinking about this from a work point of view, finding ways to keep readers interested and reading the blog could be challenging. Good luck with the course.:)
