Endnote..Flickr

EndNote -

For this week, we were required to familiarise with EndNote. Quite familiar with endnote...was introduced to it two years ago.  Downloaded the latest version with Harvard referencing extension and entered a few references for other assignments. Saves time instead of typing references manually and making sure all the punctuations and spacings are perfect. A particular function of endnote that I liked was being able to attach the article for every reference.

Finally something i'm totally familiar with ! :) Signed up for Flickr 8 years ago and have been actively using it for showcasing my photography and backup copies. In the last couple of years they changed the layout and added a few new features. Hven't had the chance to explore them all so took this opportunity to check them out. The privacy settings, maps are still the same.

One new feature is the 'edit' function. The edit button will bring you to a third party photo editing page.

They've improved on the maps. It's more interactive. Once you've tagged your photo on a map, a series of photos from the same place your photo is tagged appears. Its great for inspiration. Same or similar places from different angles. And from all the places you've been from your tagged photos there's an overview of 'where you've been' map :

Another function, 'camera roll' is still in Beta phase. It's similar to the iPhone's camera roll , photos grouped by dates and specific dates can be selected from roles beside the photo lists. Should make browsing photos from the specific time frame faster.

With all these new features, I'll definitely continue to use Flickr.

  1. I've never used Flickr before, I'm glad to hear that you've had a use for it. Is it very different to Instagram?
