A great tool to organise online browsing and sharing it with others. Sometimes I tend to forget the link to the website I was browsing. So instead of bookmarking on your computer, social bookmarking sites allows us to bookmark through the online site and add your own tags . Like the others, there are a few sites to choose from and again registration is required.
One of the popular social bookmarking I've been hearing in the past is 'Delicious'. Started out by signing up for delicious and played around with it .
Found the interface plain and simple. I can add the link I wanted to bookmark, find friends that's using delicious or browse trending topics/article. The site does what it says it's supposed to do.
Diigo
On the same day I signed up an account with 'Diigo' to compare with Delicious. After browsing the site for a few minutes, it's clearly my fav out of the two. Find that it is more than just a social bookmarking site.
Main page (my library)
All tags are listed on the left hand side for easy access.
Outliner
Outliner, one of my favourite functions they have. You can create notes and move around the bullet points and add the bookmarks link from your library. It would be a good function to take notes during lectures or when doing research for assignments.
It comes with a PDF reader too ! Not a fan of reading on screen but Diigo has the highlighting and adding notes function.
Instead of just connecting with friends on Diigo, there are groups to join & explore depending on interests
In the past week, i've been using Diigo app on my phone.... had no problem bookmarking and tagging sites but other features such as outliners isn't available on mobile.
Even though it's a 'social' site, I prefer all my tags to be private.

great you have incorporated Diigo into your everyday life.
