Completed the basic HTML activity and I got the badge....yay !
Surprised I managed to get through the 14 steps in one sitting ! Didn't think i would enjoy HTML but i did...found it quite addictive :) The step by step instructions was easy and clear to understand. Looking forward to the next build your own webpage activity.
To complete the HTM Basics II was quite challenging but after resetting the codes a few times, made it through !

It is a good program, isn't it! I've been liking it a lot, to my surprise. I think part of the appeal is the badges and the trophies - if you've got something to aim for, you're more likely to keep going!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I really do need to get onto Codeacademy...
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Nerida - the reward system works so well for these things, even if they're just online badges! Duolingo is the same. Winning the approval of that little owl and earning gold coins - works for me!
Checked out Duolingo..looks good. Bookmarked it for later..another thing to add on my to do list over the end of sen break !
DeleteHTML is strangely fun. I also think things like editing other people's wikipedia pages, constantly rethinking and changing the way my bookshelf is organised, analysing the way websites manage their content, etc, etc is fun and interesting, so I think I'm a perfect candidate for a job in the IM field. Ha! I also use the website General Assembly to learn coding - quite similar again.
