Thanks to google doc working in a group is a lot easier ! Been regularly using the docs for group assignments. Especially useful when I had to do an online subject. Instead of communicating through emails for every single decision, I created an 'issues and decisions' document. If any of the group member updates on that document, everyone will get a notification through email and all will be documented in one place instead of scrolling through emails.
Have no complaints about google docs except for when it comes to formatting. Any formatting done in Google docs when imported to Microsoft office or the Mac version of office does not come out right.
I'd never used Google Docs before this semester, and I LOVE THEM. We've used Google Sheets in another course as well, and it is really such an effective group work tool. The email notifications is an excellent idea, as people can forget to check if and what has been updated by others.
